As the last PT comes off the assembly line on July 9th, the Detroit Free Press posted a photo gallery of pictures from PTs over the years. I was able to attend the event shown in photo #3. It was a blast. I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane.

Those brought back memories. I'm still driving my original '01 and it's still in great shape. _________________

I still have my original and drive it occasionally. We have a PT convertible for daily driving. I can still remember when you saw another PT, it was exciting and each person would wave. |

I still have my original '01, too, and drive it daily. Still love it. _________________

I too still have my early '01 addition (took possession on 7/10/00), and it recently turned 142K miles with no problems so far.... _________________ Remember, in the next world you're on your own! |

I still have mine, Vinnie. He has 55,000 miles now. 2002 Dream Cruiser. He still turns heads and gives a thrill you drive him. At least to me he does.
PS: He's recently had a few changes made to him but its all for the better. _________________

Hi Gang -
Sad day, isn't it? Guess we knew it would happen eventually, but we've still got 'em and enjoy 'em, so let's just keep having fun (and to hell with the morons at Chrysler ). Being the way I am, couldn't help but add a little personal editorial on my site:

Life's busy, which is good, but still trying to get to a few shows & events - hope to see ya soon. I know Retro's in dire need of a spankin'.

I miss everybody ( even Glenn, you stinker) and hope I can get together with some of you reprobates this year! Been busy, too. My daughter is about to have her first baby and we are VERY excited about that! He will be our third grandkid! _________________

I don't have my '01 any more.
2001 LTD was traded with over 96,000 miles for
2006 GT which was traded with about 66,00 miles on a
2009 Dreamer 5. It has over 26,000 miles.
It would nice to see some of you again and to meet others for the first time. _________________ Richard -

our PT went off to live with my folks this time last year. overall it's still doing pretty well (knock on wood), around 45k miles.
about a month ago they visited us and when they were pulling out of the driveway our big boy (3 and half) said "daddy, i want my pt back". it was so funny and unexpected. _________________

I still have my 'darling' Woody....'02. I think I got lied to and taken to the cleaners this past week. He boiled over on a Sunday afternoon and against my better judgement took him to the only place open with a mechanic on duty, hoping it was just a hose or something. They said it was the water pump and they have had the PT for six days now and still not fixed!!!!! I'm ready to scream. _________________ Ruadh gu brath |

Peggy, maybe you should have a trusted male friend (preferably one that can intimadate), who knows about cars, go there and get some answers. _________________

Peggy, if they are saying it's the water pump then they should be changing the timing belt as well.
Back on topic, I traded my '01 last May with 98k on the clock. _________________ You can't roller skate in a buffalo herd. |
