Howdy everybody!
It's sure been awhile. I bet everyone has news to share. Here's mine (keeping it short):
- We bought a new house! Just finished moving in & still settling in.
- Vinnie is headed to the shop. He had a mean encounter with a broad in a chevy pickup. Nope it wasn't my fault and there was even a police officer who was there when it happened. WHEW!
OK, now your turn!

N2 and Vickie!!
Our youngest is expecting her first baby in July! We are excited about that! Still selling my book around the country and now on Amazon and I am probably going to teach at a camp program for 4 weeks this summer at a nearby residential school for "adjudicated' kids, in other words, what we used to call "reform school". They need a temporary English teacher for this grant program and it pays super well, so I am going to do it. Hope the little stinkers don't kill me before i can collect the check! Supposedly they are not "violent", though, and I suspect most just come from bad families. It should be interesting. _________________

We are on pins and needles baby watch! She was due last Saturday and we are still waiting!! I'm a nervous wreck and have all my stuff packed ready to drive over there as soon as we hear. Charles is coming in his own car so he can come back and I will stay awhile. _________________

Hope everyone is doing well. Can you believe that it has been over ten year since some of us started this PT Cruiser odyssey.
I am doing well at least for a guy that turned 70 in May. How did that happen?
Plan to go to CRT 10. My dad will be 101 on the 20th. He is having some problems with his heart so every thing is kind of day to day.
O' and BSU is #5. _________________ Richard -

Hey, Richard!! I miss you, buddy!
Well, WE HAVE A BABY!! Summer went into labor about 8 PM Saturday, July 31. She and Tony had trained for natural childbirth and had everything prepared, scheduled, lists made, etc. The baby was born................................................................Tuesday morning, AUGUST 3rd around 3:30 AM by c-section. WHAT AN ORDEAL. They finally had to shut down Little House on the Prairie hippie farm natural childbirth Monday evening( I would have done it about two days sooner!) and she was so exhausted they finally gave her an epidural and drip to speed up labor, but had to finally take him. The little boy weighed NINE pounds ( my daughter is about my size), was 22 inches long and had a fifteen inch head, and was coming out face up and at an angle. No way was the little feller going to come the usual way.
My daughter is doing fine though, and so is the baby. He is absolutely gorgeous. I am still in Austin helping out, and will be going home in a couple more days when they feel ready to take over. I am so grateful her husband is such a great help and so supportive of her. The boy is one in a million and has been super. They are both going to be great parents and this is one lucky little boy. They named him Charles ( after my husband!) Anthony Wen Tao ( which means something like powerful wisdom). My son in law is Chinese American. His parents were over here for a week, too, and are as thrilled as we are. We all had a good time together.
My son in law;s father took the funniest video I ever saw of my son in law giving us instructions right before we left the hospital on "how to change his diaper" We were all in hysterics, especially when the baby got all changed, wrapped up, and looked up at us all and made that "unmistakeable I did it again" noise, my son in law went through the whole process again, only to have " the geyser effect" interrupt that part of the operation. We will really laugh at this video someday- it would be a classic on you tube! _________________
