nancy's old dell has been plodding along and I finally got her upgraded.
I wanted something that would keep up without breaking the bank. every time i would "build" one on dell, hp or anywhere else it usually ended up upwards of $3k. Here lately it was getting closer to $2k but still more than I wanted to spend for a dual core, good graphics card w/ HDMI out, blu ray rom, 17" etc.
Was at Sam's and came across one that had most of what I wanted. Amazingly the price was much better than expected. I tried building the same items on the HP site and it came up to about $1300.
All this

Very nice. On President's Day Dell held a one day sale where you could get a laptop for $299. Granted it had a 9" monitor, 4gb HD and Linux that is still a heck of a deal. _________________ You can't roller skate in a buffalo herd. |
